The Together series is an ongoing performance-based collaborative project that has continued since 2024. The series pursues an inquiry into rethinking and reconfiguring the relationships between composer, performer, and audience. Each work constructs situations in which a shared artistic experience emerges, centered on bodily proximity, touch, and perception.

In Together (2024), instead of composing and producing a written score from the position of a composer, I assumed a role closer to that of a director. Without using a score, I developed the piece collaboratively with the performers from beginning to end, shaping it as a choreographic work.

Starting from the performers’ habitual instrumental gestures, I staged and expanded these movements, focusing on the creation of abstract visual images that emerged from them.

Together II (2025) continues this exploration, placing greater emphasis on the encounter between individuals: the one who initiates, the one who arranges the encounter, the one who is present within it, and the one who participates in it.

The work unfolds in two parts—an installation and a performance. In the installation, two performers engage in tactile interaction with individual audience members, inviting intimate physical encounters. In contrast, the performance establishes a sense of distance and separation between performers and audience, foregrounding shifting dynamics of proximity, mediation, and participation.
