Deok-Vin Lee is a composer. He was born and raised in South Korea.

His artistic practice includes exploring bodily limits, utilizing robots for aesthetic purposes, and reflecting on sarcasm, sex, and religion. His main focus is on time-based stage arts. His approach is borderless, embracing various media such as instruments, bodies, objects, electronics, light, video, webpages, mechanics, and robotics.


He has collaborated with numerous artists and ensembles, including Franziska Baumann, ensemble recherche, ensemble Adapter, Proton ensemble, Names ensemble, Moscow Contemporary Music Ensemble, Neue Vocalsolisten, Auditivvokal, Lucerne Festival Alumni Ensemble, and others.


He is a doctoral candidate at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz (Dr. artium, artistic-scholarly research).
